Judy is the Principal and owner of Power Financial Planning Pty Ltd. Judy’s career in Financial Planning started in 2000, her experience in the financial sector spans 3 decades. Power Financial Planning is the new business brand, continuing Judy’s strong, self-employed Financial Planning business (previously NAB licensee). Prior to working as a Financial Planner, Judy worked as a Human Resource Manager and Bank Manager for the NAB. Her background and experience enhance her natural compassion and understanding of the different stages of lives and the ability to deliver for a wide range of client needs. Judy advises with professionalism, knowledge, compassion and with the benefit of several decades experience.


Judy holds several qualifications, including a Bachelor of Commerce (UQ) and Diploma of Financial Planning (Deakin University). She is also accredited as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) from Financial Planning Association and has the title of Senior Associate with FINSIA (FIN SA). Judy has the knowledge, backed by experience, to provide the best advice for her clients. Judy regularly pursues professional development opportunities to stay abreast of current legislation and trends in the industry and ensure her advice is up-to-date and tailored for your unique circumstances.


Judy and her family have been local to Mount Gravatt for over 20 years. Well ingrained in the local community, you might find her cheering her kids on from the sidelines or catching up with friends over huge amounts of pasta and seafood. Or in her downtime, curled up on the couch with her nose in a book or silently miming the words watching Love Actually.


Office Manager / Client Services Officer

Joanne holds a dual title in the team as Officer Manager and Client Service Officer. Being with the company since mid-2019 Joanne complements the Client Services Team with 8 years’ experience in Financial Planning. Joanne also holds a Certificate IV in workplace training, Joanne ensure the office runs smoothly and clients she works with are on track for success.


Joanne believes it is important to seek guidance from professionals for financial advice and believes Judy to be very qualified professional with the knowledge and experience to help you.

Client Services Officer

Mark holds the role of Client Services Officer with Power Financial Planning Pty Ltd and has since 2015, balancing this with his role as a house dad. Prior to joining his wife, Mark owned and successfully ran a lawnmowing franchise for 4 years and was with the NAB as a Client Services Manager and a Business Lending Officer for 10 years. The best part for Mark working for Power Financial Planning is the development of relationships with clients and the close-knit team. Seeing and helping different people every day is one of the highlights of his day. Mark tries to impart to all existing and potential clients that “Everyone needs advice” from early career starters through to retirees.


It will not surprise Mark’s clients to know he is a bit of an adventure buff – he probably gets the ideas from his favourite movie series – The Bourne Identity. When not at work, assisting Judy or the kids, you will find him exploring the array of mountain road curves and scenery in and around Brisbane.


Client Services Officer

Dominic Lam joined Power Financial Planning as a Client Service Officer in 2020, with several years’ experience as a bookkeeper. Since he started Dom has proved himself to be a very capable and reliable member of our team and has great rapport with the clients. Dominic believes the team is supported by broad background of knowledge and experience with all members contributing to achieve the best outcome for the Client. Daily Dom assists with the preparation and organisation of information for client meetings and reviews.


Outside of work, you can find Dom at home finalising one of his many D-I-Y projects or reading through the adventure series Ranger’s Apprentice. Dom is quite handy and proud of his DIY efforts and hard work for clients.
